Research Collaborations

Faculty working together

Collaborations are now a focus for federal agencies when it comes to awarding a research project. In addition, collaborations promote and develop innovative applications of interdisciplinary research and education. In order to maximize research dollars awarded, UTA has formed various research collaboration projects. These projects are designed to be multidisciplinary and in some cases multi institutional.

Collaborations are a way to pool resources and expertise to save time and money. Review our facilities to find out the labs, special equipment and expertise available at UTA.

The Metroplex Research Consortium For Electronic Devices and Materials provides access to specialized expertise, unique laboratory facilities, advanced analytical tools, and pooled resources that a single company or university may not wish to acquire nor maintain on its own.

The Texas Agricultural Research Database is a very powerful tool for researchers to advertise their research expertise by keywords, funded projects, research problem areas, publications and related websites.  PI's can take advantage of this resource to find colleagues and establish relationships with other researchers, industry partners and the general public.  "Agricultural Research" should be construed as broadly as possible and include life science, biological/biomedical science, engineering, water resources, textiles and economics.

The Coordinating Board has opened a new web site to provide improved access to research information:   http://www.researchintexas.com. At the site, you will find a selection of items that are commonly requested from the Board:  research expenditures, national comparisons, ARP/ATP leveraging, and lists of Texas Nobel laureates and National Medal winners.

UTA has specialties in Nanotechnology, and Biomedical Engineering.
