Research Day 2007 - Friday, October 19

Visiting Attendees

Thank you for your interest in attending UT Arlington’s Research Day 2007. We’re sure you will find many several projects of great interest. As you can see from the agenda, we have an outstanding researcher as a guest speaker and a stellar lineup of poster presentations on a wide range of research activities.

Posters and project demonstrations will be on display throughout the day, as will tours of selected labs, so please schedule some time to visit with our faculty and students and sample the wide variety of research that is being conducted here.

A quick word about our featured speaker, James M. Tour, Professor of Chemistry, Computer Science, Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, and Director of the Carbon Nanotechnology Laboratory at Rice University. Dr. Tour won the Arthur C. Cope Scholar Award from the American Chemical Society for his achievements in organic chemistry and was named Small Times magazine’s Innovator of the Year Award in 2006. He has more than 300 credited publications and holds more than 30 patents. His presentation begins at 10:00am in room 100 of Nedderman Hall.
