Many area businesses offer a discount* to UTA students, faculty and
staff upon presentation of your UTA ID card.
Most businesses will not accept the UTA discount in conjunction with
other special offers.

Theatre Arlington Offers Staff Discount
Theatre Arlington, one of the largest community theaters in the
nation, offers a VIP discount to all UTA staff and faculty for most shows. Located in downtown
Arlington, their season consists of nine shows ranging from comedies to musicals to dramas to youth

UTA Employee Fee Waiver/Eligibility and Implementation
The Employee Fee Waiver for eligible employees is available to UTA faculty or
staff members employed in "benefits eligible" positions. As of the census date of the semester for which the exemption is to be granted the employee must have an appointment of 4 1/2 months or more, be paid at not less than 50% time, paid from any source of UTA funds, and NOT employed in a position requiring student status as a condition of employment.
- The following fees will be waived for eligible employees: Student Union Fee, Student Services Fee, Medical Services Fee, Library Services Fee, ID Card Activation Fee, Intercollegiate Athletics Fee, Computer and Information Technology Fee, and the International Studies Fee.
- Employees receiving the benefit of these fee waivers will be eligible for access and/or services as follows:
- Eligible for access / services on the same basis as all other (non-student) employees of UTA:
- Student Union
- Medical Services (UTA Health Services)
- Library Services
- Intercollegiate Athletics
- Computing and Information
- Student Services Eligible for services on the same basis as all other (non-student) employees of UTA or as may be determined later by Individual Student Services areas. However, UTA employee for whom the Student Services Fee is waived will not be eligible for the following:
- Voting in student elections
- Running for elective student office
- Use of the Student's Attorney as a student
- Receiving discounted tickets as a student.
- Employee who are not currently enrolled at UTA and who wish to apply for admission must make application at the appropriate Graduate or Undergraduate Admissions Office in E. E. Davis Hall. The $25 application fee will not be waived.
Tuition Discount for Continuing Education Courses
All full-time personnel, retirees, and qualified part-time employees are
eligible to register for courses in the continuing education catalog. Acceptance
will depend on spaces available at the time of registration.
- Employees of the University must hold at least a 50% FTE appointment to qualify for the tuition discount.
- All benefits eligible employees are able to receive a discount on
most Continuing Education classes. The fee can be paid with charge cards, checks or cash.
- Enrollment opportunities for employees under this plan will be available the day before the desired class begins.
- Employees desiring to schedule job-related courses during work hours will be required to obtain written approval from their supervisor.
- Courses exempted from the Tuition Discount are generally in programs for licensure and certification
