Data Loss and ID Theft

To help prevent Data Loss never open attachments or click on links from strangers. Never respond to Phishing emails asking for personal information. Use a firewall when connecting to the Internet. Use an anti-virus program and regularly update the virus definitions. Install the latest software patches for your operating system and software. Do not install suspicious software or Internet downloads onto your computer, such programs may contain viruses. See our Brochure Page

Software to search for sensitive information: Identity Finder

If you become a victim of ID Theft Report the incident to police immediately and request the case number and a copy of the police report. Report all stolen cards to the issuers immediately. Notify your bank if checks were stolen and close account. Be prepared to fill out affidavits of forgery to establish your innocence. Contact TransUnion and place a fraud alert on your credit file.
