The Shimadzu Institute for Research Technologies was established February 28th, 2013 as a result of the partnership between the University of Texas at Arlington and the Shimadzu Corporation. It is comprised of multiple instrumentation facilities, each with a different research focus, and operated under the “centralized research resources” model. Founded on the premise that eliminating barriers to research technologies and creating a mutual space for interaction promotes scientific advances that traditional approaches cannot. This holistic and interdisciplinary approach is crucial in driving leading-edge research with a major impact on scientific study and entrepreneurship. Each center is staffed with appropriate expertise bringing an additional level of accessibility that traditionally has not existed in research facilities.
The Shimadzu Institute provides you access to the most powerful and precise research instrumentation leading to increased efficiency and data quality. Paving the way for more creative and competitive approaches to your research.
The Shimadzu Institute also provides access to research scientist and engineers with a mix of academic and industry experience. Our collective knowledge pool of instrumentation and experimental theory expands the possibilities of research approaches available to you.
Providing the proper balance of instrumentation, diverse expertise and collaborative environments; Shimadzu Institute centers are microcosms for creative multidisciplinary researchers to freely exchange ideas. We invite you to come and experience it for yourself.
