Emerging Scholars
Freshmen Interest Group (FIG)

The Emerging Scholars Fig is designed to assist freshmen first generation college students to successfully navigate the first-year college experience, while developing leadership skills, improving academic performance, and building self-confidence. These SSS participants will enroll in three core courses together, network with other FIGS and first-years students, become familiar with campus resources, participate in tutoring and other academic support activities, and experience mentoring/networking opportunities with faculty, staff and peer mentors.
