SSA Club Meeting We offer several undergraduate and graduate degrees in the fields of Sociology and Anthropology at The University of Texas Arlington. As a Sociology or Anthropology major or minor, students will develop a better understanding of the human condition—both past and present. Sociology and Anthropology explore and analyze individual experiences and bridge them to larger social issues. This knowledge gives students an opportunity to think creatively and critically about connections that shape everyday life, and provides an invaluable tool for navigating the complex social and political world in which they live. Our programs offer many activities for students, on campus and beyond, including several academic societies: Lambda Alpha (the Anthropological Honor Society, Alpha Chapter of Texas), Anthropology Club, Alpha Kappa Delta (the International Sociology Honor Society), and The Sociology Student Association (SSA). Majors enjoy successful careers in academia, social work, international development, museum curatorship, business, government, and community organizing.
