Why UTA and Why Social Work?

Video: U.S. Marine veteran and recent UTA MSW graduate

During eight years as a U.S. Marine, Jason Simmons was deployed five times. His wartime experiences left him with a severe case of PTSD, but he overcame it and discovered a passion for helping veterans facing the same struggles. As a Spring 2017 UTA Master of Social Work graduate, he plans to become a licensed clinical social worker in mental health, so he can help other veterans.
