The ultimate purpose of the Title IV-E project is to deliver social work education to graduate and undergraduate students that will prepare them for careers in child welfare by way of delivering professional education to current CPS employees and recruiting BSW and MSSW students to work in public child welfare.

The U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, Administration for Children and Families, Children’s Bureau awarded a cooperative agreement to The University of Texas at Arlington, School of Social Work, Center for Child Welfare to work in collaboration with University of Denver’s Butler Institute for Families and the Native American Training Institute, over a five year period to establish the Mountains and Plains Child Welfare Implementation Center (MPCWIC).
