Social Work Professor Dr. Vijayan Pillai Appointed Fellow in Prestigious Public Health Society

Congratulations to Dr. Vijayan Pillai, social work professor at the University of Texas at Arlington, on his recent honor of being appointed Fellow of the Royal Society for Public Health (RSPH), an independent and multi-disciplinary charity dedicated to the improvement of public health and wellbeing.

Dr. Pillai is one of over 6,000 public health educators and professionals to be members of RSPH. Membership into the Royal Society for Public Health encompasses a wide range of sectors and roles including health promotion, environmental health, medicine, and food safety trainers.

The society’s goal is to help inform policy and practice through education and research, as well as empower and support individuals and communities to live healthy lives.
