The University of Texas at Arlington School of Social Work is pleased to announce a certificate program in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy The program began in January 2007 and is offered through the school’s Professional Development Program. It is a 60 hour module designed to teach solution-focused skills at a specialist level. You will learn the skills to conduct interviews that elicit clients’ strengths and resources used to help find solutions to a wide range of problems. Individual seminars in the 60 hours are open for anyone to attend and receive continuing education credit to apply toward CEU licensing renewal requirements. A CEU certificate will be issued at the conclusion of each seminar.
The 60 hours for certification in Solution-Focused Therapy consist of three required seminars, 18 hours (see seminar descriptions) and 7 electives, 42 hours, of your choice. All of which must be completed within two years from the date of the first seminar you attend. You must be a master level graduate to qualify for the Certificate Program.
Upon completion of the 60 hours you will receive your certification in Solution-Focused Therapy from the School of Social Work.
