Pre-registration is required for all seminars and early registration is encouraged due to limited seating. Registrations received after 8 A.M. the day before the seminar will be assessed a $20 late fee. Fees must accompany the registration form unless agencies are paying the registration fee.  (To expedite registration if agencies are paying the fee, you may mail or fax your registration form with a letter from the agency guaranteeing payment of the fee and/or a copy of a purchase order. Letters of approval and purchase orders should state the total dollar amount.  FAX 817-272-5218.)


Confirmation of your registration status will be emailed unless otherwise requested. If you do not receive a confirmation by email, you should confirm your registration by calling 817-272-3921.


You may cancel your registration if your request is received 48 hours prior to the start of the seminar. Your registration fee, minus a $35 administrative fee, will be remitted to you within four to six weeks.  When using a discount, seminar cancellations will be honored by a credit voucher only. Credit vouchers are good for one year from the date of the cancelled seminar. Under-subscribed seminars may be canceled.


The following discounts are available: Group Discounts and Certificate Program Discounts. These discounts are for fully paid registrations and cannot be combined with any other discount(s). Discounts must be requested at the time of registration and cannot be applied retroactively. Seminar discounts do not apply for On-Line courses. When using a discount, seminar cancellations will be honored by a credit voucher only. Credit vouchers are good for one year from the date of the cancelled seminar.


You must be in attendance for the entire seminar to receive CEU credit. There will be NO exceptions. Check-in for each seminar begins 1/2 hour prior to the start of the seminar. Late arrivals of more than 30 minutes will not receive CEUs.


Seminars are held at UTA School of Social Work, 211 South Cooper Street,  Arlington, Texas.  The Professional Development Office is located in Room 104 of the three-story building in the Social Work Complex.


Please notify our office at least two weeks before the seminar begins if special accommodations or assistance is needed.


Full-day seminars break for lunch from 12:00-1:00. Lunch will be provided.


A permit is required to park on campus. A parking permit will be issued to you at time of seminar check in.


If the weather is such that normal university operations could be impeded, you may listen to local broadcast media for information about closings or delays. If the university is closed, any Professional Development seminars scheduled for that day will be canceled. If the university delays opening, full-day seminars will be canceled; half-day seminars that are scheduled to begin before the university opens will be canceled; and half-day seminars that are scheduled to begin after the university opens will meet as usual. Canceled seminars will be rescheduled for another date.
