Bilingual Therapist

Genesis Women’s Shelter Genesis Women’s Shelter provides six weeks of emergency shelter, safety and counseling for victims of domestic violence and their children.

Job Duties are as follows: The Bilingual Therapist at Genesis Women’s Shelter will provide individual and group therapy to women. This position is responsible for providing ongoing assessment and evaluation to aid in determining treatment goals, as well as providing crises intervention and therapeutic remediation of family violence. The Bilingual Therapist will work as part of a treatment team, formulating treatment plans, and advocating for clients affected by domestic violence. Hours: Monday-Friday. Three days will be 9:00 am to 5:00 pm and two days will be 1:00 pm to 9:00pm.

Qualifications are as follows: A Master’s Degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology or related field is required; Candidate should be licensed in related field or working toward licensure. On site individual and group supervision is provided. We are looking for someone who has a high energy level, is self-motivated, results oriented, and has excellent people and communication skills.
