Social Work Innovative Community Academic Partnership (iCAP)

Updated: Jan 05, 2012

A vision of a better community by Sheila B. Johnson resulted in a unique gift from the Amon G. Carter Foundation. Ms. Johnson and Consultant and Adjunct Professor Stefan Ateek selected the UTA School of Social Work, under the leadership of Dean Scott Ryan, for the Innovative Community Academic Partnership (iCAP) home.

A Word from the director

The Innovative Community Academic Partnership (iCAP) as the name implies, is innovative, partnership-focused and transformative not only of the School of Social Work’s relationship with the community in conducting research, but also of the lives of the families and children who are grappling with major social ills.
