Hope Cottage Pregnancy and Adoption Center
Responsible for assisting in the recruitment, training, and education of agency Foster to Adopt families. Conduct home studies for potential foster families and provide direct services to Foster to Adopt families and children in assigned case load.
Bachelor Degree in Social Work or another mental health discipline from an accredited university; MSW preferred
Previous experience in writing home studies and monitoring licensed foster homes. Must be eligible as child placement staff and familiar with DFPS minimum standards for Child Placing Agencies.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Possess excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to communicate directly and via telephone and internet with clients and area resources.
Must demonstrate skills in crisis intervention.
Must be able to bend and lift 25 pounds with ease.
Must be physically able to make direct observations of clients.
Must be computer literate in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and client database and internet applications.
Must possess and maintain a valid Texas Motor Vehicle Operator’s License, liability insurance to meet agency requirements and have regular access to an operating automobile for use on agency business across a multi-county area.
