Group Facilitator for a Teen Support Group, held by the Muscular Dystrophy Association, Dallas. The best skill set for the job would be one who has high energy and many tools to engage a wide variety of participants.

This new and exciting support group is designed for teens affected by neuromuscular disease. As the facilitator, you be an independent contractor for MDA to facilitate MDA’s support group in conjunction with MDA staff to provide the best possible support to those served by the association.

MDA’s Support group program is designed to provide support and practical help to individuals and families dealing with neuromuscular disease. Offering an opportunity for individuals to come together and discuss a wide range of topics allows participants an outlet for sharing their experiences and challenges, as well as obtaining valuable local resources, making new friends or connecting with old ones.

Position Responsibilities:
-Quarterly group meetings held in Dallas
-Work with MDA Staff to plan group
-Begin and end group discussions on-time
-Lead group discussion
-Encourage and engage participants
