School of Social Work at UT Arlington
Veterans Resources
Student Veteran Project

What do we do?
The Project offers free services to veterans who are undergraduates or thinking of returning to school. If you are a vet thinking about attending any college in the USA, contact us!
How does the program work?
We act like a “personal trainer” to help you enter or re-enter the education system.
Some of the things we can assist with:
- Making decisions about your education
- Applying for college
- Understanding and applying for benefits & financial aid
- Finding other resources to assist you and your family
- Understanding the transition to the student role & its effects on your family
How can I participate?
To participate in the study, please contact the Student Veteran Project at 817-272-2165 or 817-272-0452, and to obtain an intake packet. Upon completion of this packet, you will be contacted to complete a needs assessment, where we tailor our assistance to your specific needs.
