    • Individual Consultations: Feel free to make an appointment or just stop by to discuss anything related to writing instruction, including assignment design and specific student issues (e.g. plagiarism).
    • In-class Presentations: I’m available to talk directly to your class about anything writing-related. Send me an email to make a plan!
  • Accessing Presentations in Blackboard Collaborate

    1. Log into Blackboard and check under "My Organizations" (on the left), and make sure you have "Advising and Student Success."  If not, enter that phrase into the "Organization Search" box, and then click on the little arrow next to the name of the organization when it comes up, and choose "Enroll" from the menu.
    2. Click on the Advising and Student Success organization, then click the link that says "Writing Resources."  You should see a link with the name of the presentation.  Click that.
    3. On the next screen, click "Join Room."  It should prompt you to open a file.  If you have the "Blackboard Collaborate Launcher" installed, your computer should suggest that you use that to open the file.  If you don't have it installed, there should be a link to install it.  If needed, install the launcher.

A little before the presentation, repeat steps 2 and 3, and this time, if you have the launcher installed, you should see some on-screen prompts.  Follow the instructions -- that should get you into the virtual "room."  If you have trouble using Collaborate, you can call Blackboard Tech Support 24/7 at 1.855.308.5542.
