Veronica Rendon, President

The president of EXCEL Campus Activities represents the views of the general body while acting as a representative of the UTA community. They are responsible for presiding over the general body and executive board meetings, act as an advisor to the committees, and works with the associate director of Student Activities to maintain the budget and overall harmony of the organization. The president also coordinates all retention activities, e.g., holiday parties, social activities, and intramurals as well as coordinates recognition and incentive programs for members.

Laura Maroun, Vice President

The vice president serves as the public relations contact for EXCEL. Duties include assisting with written correspondence of sponsor/donation letters, serves as the historian for EXCEL, and plans and implements membership recruitment activities such as Summer Orientations, Preview Days, and Activities Fair Day. In case of the president’s absence, the vice president will fulfill all duties of the president.

Kim Howard, Campus Traditions

The Campus Traditions committee is responsible for maintaining important UTA traditions. The committee plans and implements diverse programs that include traditional events such as Bed Races, Holiday Celebration, Blue and White Bash, Battle of the Bands, and Talent Show.

Gillian Talley, Entertainment and Arts

The Entertainment and Arts committee is responsible for bringing captivating cultural and popular entertainment events to the UTA campus. The committee plans and implements arts and cultural programs including the University Center Art Gallery, performing arts events, comedians, movie series, and concerts including the annual Mavs Meet After Party concert. These programs include cultural as well as popular entertainment opportunities.

Anne Brough, Special Events

The Special Events committee is responsible for the planning and implementation of diverse programs that include any co-sponsored event with other University departments including Halloween Casino Night, Blue and White Fashion Show, Founder’s Day, any fundraising program, and special events including lectures, debates, poets, and other exciting activities and performances.

Hunter Pryor, Advertising

The Advertising Director is responsible for designing marketing materials for all programming committees as well as completing the proper approval process, and creating and purchasing all ad space for print and online sources. Also, the Advertising Director develops marketing strategies with assistance from the programming committees.
