About Councils
Interfraternity Council The Interfraternity Council (IFC) is the governing body of the North-American Interfraternity Conference fraternities represented at UTA, providing support and services to fraternities as well as representing fraternity life to the University and the surrounding community. IFC is made up of National and International Social Fraternities for Men. Student officers serve on the IFC Executive Board.
The Multicultural Greek Council on the UTA campus provides a fraternal experience for local, regional, and nationally based organizations for ment and women with diverse backgrounds. They are individual student organizations within the Office of Student Governance and Organizations. The Office of Greek Life provides support to these organization and offers assistance in chapter operations.
The National Pan-Hellenic Council was founded to provide a venue of cooperation and communication concerning issues of mutual interest for historically Black Greek-letter fraternities and sororities. The UTA NPHC serves as the official coordinating agent of the campus NPHC organizations in the furtherance of their national programs and to promote unity on the campus.
The Panhellenic Council is the coordinating body of the National Panhellenic Conference sororities chapters represented at UTA. PHC represents National and International Social Greek-letter Organizations for Women. The council is comprised of an executive board along with one delegate and one alternate delegate from each member group. Panhellenic provides support and services to sororities as well as representing sorority life to the University and the surrounding community.
