 The
Leadership Academy is a prestigious leadership development program designed
for UTA students. The program is a four-phase comprehensive plan designed
to cultivate a well-rounded student leader through academic instruction,
organizational involvement, and structured learning opportunities both on
and off campus. Students eligible for this program are incoming freshman,
current UTA students who have an interest in formal leadership training and
current campus leaders.
Applications are available
online or
in the Department of Student Activities located in the Lower Level
of the University Center.
 Objectives
- Craft a personalized leadership journey for each student
- Personal and professional leadership development
- Enhance relationships between leadership and academics
- Promote service learning and volunteerism
- Cultivate community relationships
- Recognize students' achievements

 Upon
Completion of the Academy
- Receive a comprehensive leadership education
- Receive a Certificate of Completion signed by the President of
the University
- Receive recognition by University and commuity entities at various
ceremonies held throughout the year
- Share knowledge and expertise with future UTA students, and Academy
scholars/participants
- Gain valuable experience from volunteer service to promote active
citizenship and strengthen the community
