Dallas Area Habitat for Humanity is a Christian based ministry that builds quality, affordable homes in partnership with low-income families and volunteers. No experience is necessary, although we ask for patience. Join our team to learn about construction, build strong friendships, give back to your community and have fun! We ask individuals to commit to at least one full day per month.

The following volunteers are currently needed: CONSTRUCTION: - Framing Crew members - Truss Crew members - Roofing Crew members - Painting Crew Members - Siding Crew Members - Trim Crew Members - Landscaping Crew Members - Swing Crew Members (does everything) - Wednesday Crew Members - Thursday Crew Members - Electrical Crew Members (work only during the week) - Pre-Build Shop Crew Members (help pre-build the walls) NON-CONSTRUCTION: - Home Improvement Outlet Retail Assistants: unloading trucks; stocking shelves; assisting customers; general clean up--Mondays-Saturdays - Administrative (Some computer knowledge would be helpful): filing; data entry; database maintenance; research--Mondays-Fridays - Volunteer Services Committee members: onsite registration; recruitment/staffing volunteer fairs; orientation; research; Speaker's Bureau (training required)--Tuesdays-Saturdays - Special Events Committee members: planning/serving on a committee; coordinating volunteers; securing in-kind donations; setting up; working the event; clean up - Family Services Committee members: interviewing and qualifying families; working with current and potential homeowners; requires at least a one-year commitment, with consistent meetings and additional training.
