Opportunity:

Volunteers are need for the following activities / positions: 1) Volunteers to visit teen mothers at home and prepare an evaluation of parenting skills, develop a plan that teen moms can implement, provide a follow-up evaluation, and be available for phone consultation. The purpose is to provide in-home assessment and recommendations for improving teen mothers' parenting skills and techniques. Must be able to dedicate 5 hours of your time every month. Volunteers must be female with a positive attitude towards helping teen mothers. 2)Alley's House is in great need of diapers and formula! We currently have no diapers to offer teen moms, even in emergency situations. This is a great opportunity for your family, group or company to show your support for a good cause and help teen mothers in need. Set up a drive and collect diapers, formula and baby care items at your school, church, office, etc. An Alley's House volunteer can be on hand to assist your drive and/or pick up any donated items. 3) Child Care Volunteers Use your experience working with children to provide entertaining activities in a fun and safe atmosphere. Your help allows our teen moms to participate in our valuable programs. Volunteers are needed Monday through Friday for daytime shifts between 10am-5pm and some Saturdays from 12-3pm. Volunteers must be at least 16 years old with child care experience and complete a criminal back ground check. After completing the volunteer packet, volunteers need to attend a child care orientation.
