Opportunity:

Volunteers make a difference for patients and families at Cook Children's every day by giving the gifts of their time, compassion, and energy. Volunteers have a variety of placements to choose from including playing with patients/siblings in the playrooms and waiting areas, holding babies, escorting visitors, educating parents about car seat safety, helping in the Enchanted Castle Gift Shop and more. Adult volunteers must be 18 years of age or older, out of high school, meet screening and orientation requirements, and be able to commit to a minimum of 50 hours per year. Volunteer opportunities are offered mornings, afternoons and evenings, seven days a week. Placements are scheduled according to staff requests and the volunteer's availability, interests, and skills.
