Stajduhar Stables is dedicated to: * Cost effective, quality, equine assisted Christian healthcare for children and adults with physical, mental, emotional, and learning disabilities * Participating in research opportunities to validate the effectiveness of equine assisted therapy * Providing volunteer opportunities for the members of the surrounding community, which allow positive intergenerational interaction between volunteers and the clients.

Sidewalkers walk beside the horse ensuring the safety of the child during a therapy session. A leader leads the horse under the direction of the Physical or Occupational therapist assisting the child. Groomers and tackers are also needed, if you aren't physically able or you maybe don't feel comfortable sidewalking or leading. Clerical volunteers are also welcomed if you are an organizational person. Check out the website for details.

The kids are amazing; they're all little angels. Also, since these are therapy horses that assist disabled children daily, they are the most even tempered and gentle creatures. Working with them is very rewarding.
