A Big Brother or Big Sister in the community program would be expected to visit their (Little) at least 4 hours a month. It can be shopping, a movie, washing the car etc. The activity is not as important as the opportunity to talk and share values. In the school program, Big Brothers and Sisters are expected to meet at the little's school once a week for 30-45 minutes during the school year. Big Brothers and Big Sisters shape the lives of those they are matched to. The commitment is at least 9 months and can last for years.
