Membership

Becoming a member of AnimeUTA is really easy. In order to be a member you must either be a student, alumni, or faculty member of the University of Texas at Arlington. If you are not, you may join our sister club, the Evil Goddess Club. More information on the Evil Goddess Club can be found in the Info section of this website under the heading "Our Sister Club."

We meet the spring, summer, and fall semesters. At the beginning of each semester, dues are $15.00. If you join around mid semester, dues will be $10.00, and if you join when there are two meetings left in the semester, dues are $5.00. It is better to join earlier in the semester so you have your benefits longer.

If you would like to borrow up to four tapes from our library at each meeting, you must put down a $5.00 deposit per tape. The tapes are due back at the following meeting. AnimeUTA accepts cash and checks made out to AnimeUTA. If a tape is returned late, your deposit is lost. If a tape is returned not rewound, you must pay a $1.00 fine and will be automatically volunteered for ArlingCon, which isn't so bad.

The meetings are open to the public, however we reserve the right to kick out anyone who violates our rules. The rules are located in the Info section of this website.

Anyone under the age of 17 who wishes to join the Evil Goddess Club or attend meetings must bring their parent or guardian with photo ID to fill out a parental permission form. Because of our policy, online versions of this form will not be made available and can only be obtained at our meetings. We card everyone at the door. AnimeUTA reserves the right to kick out anyone under 17 if we want to show an anime that may not be appropriate for younger viewers. This anime would be the equivalent of a rated 'R' movie. For those of you that are concerned parents, we do NOT show or lend hentai.

You can fill out a membership form for either AnimeUTA or Evil Goddess (whichever you are eligible for) at our meetings. Online versions of both forms will be made available soon.
