B.E.S.O. is an organization in many universities throughout the U.S. The organization was founded in the early 1980s by bilingual education students who wanted to form a group that was both community service oriented and supportive of the professional growth of members.

The purposes of B.E.S.O. are:
1. To promote bilingual education;
2. To gain professional development through leadership conferences and workshops; and
3. To unite students and communities through bilingual education.
