EPSILON HISTORY

Realizing the need for a Hispanic women's organization, Patricia Banuelos and Jerra Villesca discussed the idea of forming a Hispanic sorority at the University of Texas at Arlington.  Patricia referred Jerra to the Kappa Delta Chi Sorority at Texas Tech University.  She was then put in contact with the advisor, Marlene Hernandez and the President of Alpha Chapter, Chrisitina Arzola.

Naomi Vasquez, who was also interested in forming a Hispanic sorority, assisted Jera with the preliminary steps.  They wrote a letter of intent to the Texas Tech Dean of Students on January 29, 1992. On February 12, 1992, they received a letter And a packet that included the History and the Constitution of Kappa Delta Chi.
