Psi
Chi and the Psychological Society at the University of Texas at Arlington will
be hosting a psychology convention on Friday, March 7th and Saturday, March 8th,
2003. We invite you to present your research and enjoy the company of fellow
academicians in psychology and related fields from various universities and
colleges. Student attendees will also have the opportunity to learn about
getting into graduate school and meet students and faculty from several
programs. Those presenting papers and posters must submit an abstract by January
31st. Fees will cover a printed convention program, a game of bowling or
billiards on Friday, March 7th, and a lunch on Saturday, March 8th.
All students are encouraged to attend regardless of whether they have a paper or
poster to present. There will be a $10 fee for early registration. The fee at
the door on the day of the event will be $15, however, please pre-register to
allow us to estimate attendance.
Our
invited keynote speaker will be Dr. David Perry of Florida Atlantic University.
Dr. Perry is a noted expert in the area aggression and chronic victimization in
childhood. His presentation will be general and open to the public as an
opportunity for a wider audience to learn more about our profession.
We
hope that this event will be both fun and educational for all involved.
Thank you,
