quick link - 2005Meetings & Events
Our mission:
- to expand awareness of the medical services available at the
Health Center for all UTA students and staff
- to interact with UTA health care administrators regarding
student response related to the Health Center
- to assist in the physical and mental well-being of our fellow
students through informative events
- to perform community service activities
SHAC:
The group is composed of students pursuing various careers and not restricted to health related majors. Representation of the student body as a whole is beneficial to our mission. SHAC was re-built as a UTA organization in the Spring of 2000. The group was involved with the Health Fest of that semester and the creation of the "Ms. and Mr. Fit UTA". Members have also participated in the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Walk and Ronald McDonald House in the Fall of 2000.
Membership:
- UTA freshman, sophomore, junior, senior undergraduates and
graduates of any major
- a desire to become involved and sharpen leadership skills
- no membership fee
