JOB TITLE:               Research Analyst

SUMMARY:  Individual filling position will be responsible for conducting/reporting real estate market research, maintaining large volumes of real estate and economic data and for helping maintain Archon research libraries.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

Primary Duties

• An experienced Research Analyst that will support data analysis, provide market research and analysis, back up the Research helpdesk and provide enhanced data management. 
• Provide analysis & monitoring of real estate markets throughout the US as well as on various assignments currently underway. Produce market reports, with trends and conclusions.
• Provide market research assistance on the economy, capital markets, commercial & apartment property types, and other industry topics as needed.
• Gather external market data and reports for market analysis and internal information requests. Manage large volumes of data and assist in the development of a data management system.
• Work in concert with the research department on requests and reporting.

Required Skills

• Strong skills in real estate economics & analysis with proven experience in market analysis.
• Excellent writing and presentation skills. PC skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint and database programs.
• Experience in commercial real estate and/or market research helpful.
• Experience with real estate databases like Economy.com, Reis, Torto Wheaton Research, and others useful.
• Strong communication skills required and technical report writing skills highly desirable.

• Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as work effectively in team important.

• Must have a customer-service orientation and be flexible in a dynamic environment.

Preferred Skills

• Knowledge in any of the following is helpful: Commercial real estate sectors, Economics, Urban planning, GIS applications.

EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE

BBA/BA/BS. Preferred majors: real estate, economics, geography, urban studies and business; all majors considered. Experience in commercial real estate and/or market research helpful.

OTHER SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Math skills and ability to comprehend and communicate market data important. Technical report writing skills highly desirable. Ability to multi-task and work independently, as well as work effectively in team important. Must have a customer-service orientation and be flexible in a dynamic environment.
