A Defensive Spin Kick

The Stance
Feet shoulder-width apart, hands protecting the upper body, looking at the opponent.

The Fold
Still watching the opponent, raise the kicking leg into a tight fold, knee pointing toward them.

The Kick
Snap the leg out, keeping the foot flexed and toes pulled back. Hit with the ball of your foot, rotate your base leg to where your heel faces your opponent. Snap your leg back faster than when it went out, step down forward and prepare for the next attack.
