Student Life Fund
UT Arlington has a thriving campus life, with more than 4,500 students living on campus. The University provides a full activities calendar including festivals, speakers, drama productions, intramurals, recreation events, concerts, convocations and other events. The University’s 300 student organizations are an eclectic mix of social, international, recreational, professional and special interest groups. A fulfilling student experience is more than just time spent in the classroom. The Student Life Fund provides opportunities outside the classroom to ensure that our students graduate with a well-rounded college experience. The Student Life Fund supports:
- Bringing Speakers to Campus. Recent speakers have included Maya Angelou, The Simpsons writer and producer Mike Reiss, and comedian Carlos Mencia.
- On Campus Concerts. The Last Blast concert in May 2006 featured Bowling for Soup and this past fall Ludacris rocked Texas Hall. Other concerts include a Battle of the Bands of UT Arlington students.
- Service Learning and Community Service. Sending student to conferences and seminars, or holding seminars on campus, enables our students to embrace leadership opportunities and expand their education beyond the classroom.
- Wellness Programs. Campus Recreation offers exercise facilities and other opportunities for students to improve their physical well being.
