What is AlcoholEdu for College?
At UT Arlington, we want you to succeed in all aspects of your university career. Because of this commitment toward student success, the University has partnered with a company called Outside the Classroom to provide AlcoholEdu, a free alcohol education course for all new freshmen entering UT Arlington in the fall of 2009. The two to three hour course was specifically designed for college students and provides you with an engaging, challenging, and educational experience. The data collected during the course will assist the university in providing programs and services that will be valuable to the entire UT Arlington community.
Who is required to complete AlcoholEdu?
The University of Texas at Arlington expects all incoming freshmen complete AlcoholEdu for College.
How do I setup my own account for AlcoholEdu?
To access your AlcoholEdu course:
1. Visit URL: http://college.alcoholedu.com/login.aspx
2. In the “New User” box, enter the following Login ID: 9C228769FIRSTYEAR
3. Click “Submit”. Once you access the program with the provided Login ID, you will be able to establish your own personal login information.
A student ID number is issued to each student admitted to the UT Arlington. It is a 10-digit number that begins with 1000.
Where can I find my student ID number?
When you were admitted to UT Arlington, you were issued a student ID number. This 10-digit number begins with 1000 and was mailed to you along with information on how to log into the MyMav student information system. If you have been to orientation, this number is also located on your Mav Express ID card issued to you when you attended. If you don't have your ID card yet, you can log into the MyMav system to find your student ID number using your Net ID and password. If you don't have any of this information, you will need to contact the UTA Help Desk to retrieve it.
Who do I contact for technical support?
If you need assistance accessing the AlcoholEdu program or are having problems with the program, contact Outside the Classroom, the company that created AlcoholEdu either at 1.866.384.9062, or by clicking here to connect to their technical support website. If they are unable to help you or if you have further issues, please let us know by calling 817.272.2354 or emailing us at alcoholedu@uta.edu.
I am trying to complete the AlcoholEdu program, but it won't let me move on to the next part. What do I need to do?
AlcoholEdu for College is designed for students to complete Part One prior to the first day of class, while Part Two is not available until approximately 30 to 45 days after you completed Part One. Therefore, Part Two will not be available for you to complete until it has been 30 to 45 days after you completed Part One. You will receive an email when Part Two becomes available.
I have already completed part one of AlcoholEdu, but I received an email stating that I haven't completed it. What else do I need to do?
All email communications regarding AlcoholEdu are being sent to your UT Arlington email address, if you completed AlcoholEdu with a different email address we are unable to remove your name from the email list without notification. If you notify us that you used a different email address than your UT Arlington email, we will remove your name from the list.
