What is a Campus and Community Involvement Record (CCIR)?
An Official University Document that
- is similar to an academic transcript.
- lists cocurricular and community involvement activities while at UTA.
- chronologically delineates all activities and the level of involvement in each.
- provides a brief description of skills acquired.
- is verified by University faculty/staff and/or community/corporate representatives.
How Does it Work?
Step 1:
Complete an application (UTA NetID and password required).
Step 2:
Get involved on campus and in the community.
Step 3:
Complete and submit a Verification Request.
Step 4:
The Department will obtain verification of your participation and add it to your file.
Step 5:
Request a copy of your transcript from the Department.
Repeat as needed!
When do I sign up?
NOW! Early registration helps ensure that activities are not omitted and can be verified. Data is kept current until graduation, after which it is archived for five years.

What Activities Can Be Included?
- Organizational Activities
Involvement in registered student organizations in which you maintain active status
- Recreational/Athletic Activities
Intramurals and athletic teams
- Departmental Activities
Groups or projects sponsored through a University Department (e.g., EX.C.E.L. Campus Activities, UTA HOSTS!, Student Congress, Peer Leadership Trainers, Maverick Orientation Leaders, Resident Assistants)
- Other Campus Involvement
University committees, special projects, and internships
- Honors/Awards
Scholarships, Dean’s List, awards and honors, or other special recognitions
- Participatory/Leadership Activities
Leadership conferences, workshops, seminars and retreats
- Community Activities
Volunteer service activities and projects provided to the community
The Associate Director of Student Activities will make the final determination regarding the validity of activities that are included on the CCIR.
How Much Does It Cost?
$5.00 initial registration fee, which includes five official copies of the CCIR
$2.00 for additional official copies until graduation
$5.00 for additional copies after graduation
Leadership Academy members and students enrolled in EDUC 1130 and 2330 will have their CCIR fees waived. In addition, incentives are offered periodically to campus groups that include the waiver of enrollment fees.
Want Some Helpful Hints?
Remember – You build your own CCIR by submitting verification requests for each activity or honor you receive.
The Department emails these to the person you have indicated on your form as someone who can verify your participation. This person cannot be a student. It must be an advisor, sponsor or director of the campus or off-campus activity.
Give careful attention and review to the responsibilities completed and skills gained section. This is your opportunity to shine and to highlight your skill development and assets that will encourage the reader to recognize what you
can offer.
The sooner you submit a verification request, the easier it is for both parties to accurately confirm your participation, facilitating rapid confirmation.
