About MavsMeet
MavsMeet, the New Student Convocation, is a formal assembly commemorating the beginning of the academic year. This event takes place in Texas Hall. Students, faculty and staff are welcomed by the University president, provost, student congress president, and a distinguished UT Arlington faculty speaker.
This major academic event honors all undergraduate and graduate students, but particularly new UT Arlington students. Faculty, staff, alumni and parents are also welcome to attend.
Immediately following the New Student Convocation, the MavsMeet AfterParty kicks off the year with live music acts, free food, games and activities.
