Residence Hall Association

RHA @ UTA

We commit to enriching and maintaining a comfortable and supportive living and learning community by representing residents’ concerns, offering diverse programming, and providing desirable residence hall enhancements.

Get Involved!

RHA has several different levels of involvement on campus, so it’s easy to get involved! If you are interested in getting involved with RHA, feel free to contact us at rha@uta.edu. To learn more about the different areas of involvement, come to any hall council meeting in any of the residence halls or the general body meetings in the Student Congress Chambers every 2 weeks!

REPRESENTATION

RHA represents residents’ concerns to the University. Issues that the Residence Hall Association has dealt with in the past include visitation and smoking policies, dining hall improvement, facilities improvement, and security initiatives. We send representatives to meet regularly and discuss student concerns with various University departments and organizations, and maintain a close working relationship with the Department of Apartment & Residence Life.

Programming

RHA also works hard to provide a diverse choice of programming to residents. We provide residents with valuable social programs and excellent service opportunities. Some examples include: The 14th Annual Block Party, Stay at UTA Weekend, and numerous in hall events within each residence hall. These events are specifically designed to cater to all students across campus.

Enhancements!

RHA and Hall Council also offers enhancement items to improve the quality of campus life. Students can check out items at the community offices including vacuum cleaners, movies, cooking utensils, and other items for use in their community. We also provide big screen TVs and recreational items such as basketballs, volleyballs, pool tables, and ping-pong tables to enhance the living environments in each community.
