Mischeka Nicholson, President The president of EXCEL Campus Activities represents the views of the general body while acting as a representative of the UTA community. They are responsible for presiding over the general body and executive board meetings, act as an advisor to the committees, and works with the director of Student Activities to maintain the budget and overall harmony of the organization.

Sondra Showels, Vice President The vice president serves as the public relations contact for EXCEL. Duties include assisting with written correspondence of sponsor/donation letters, serving as the historian for EXCEL, and planning and implementing membership recruitment activities such as summer orientations, Preview Days, and Activities Fair Day. In case of the president’s absence, the vice president fulfills the duties of the president. Membership committee meetings are held on Mondays at 3:30 p.m.

Angie Mack, Student Director The Campus Traditions committee is responsible for maintaining several important UTA traditions and the development of new ones. The committee plans and implements diverse programs that include traditional events such as Bed Races, Holiday Celebration, The Homecoming Bash, and the Battle of the Bands. Campus Traditions committee meetings are held on Tuesdays at 3:30 p.m.

Judy Agwu, Student Director The Entertainment & Arts committee is responsible for bringing captivating cultural and popular entertainment events to the UTA campus. The committee plans and implements arts and cultural programs including the University Center Art Gallery, performing arts events, comedians, movie series, and music acts. These programs include cultural- as well as popular-entertainment opportunities. Entertainment & Arts committee meetings are held on Fridays at 1 p.m.

Maggie Garza, Student Director The University Events committee is responsible for the planning and implementation of diverse programs that include any co-sponsored events with the University Events office at UTA including concerts, speakers/lectures, debates and other exciting activities and performances. University Events Committee Meetings are held on Thursdays at 3:30 p.m.
