Meet the VP
Dear Members of the University Community,
As vice president for The Division of Student Affairs at The University of
Texas at Arlington, I would like to welcome you to Maverick Country and congratulate
you on your decision to join our community. UT Arlington attracts some of the
best and brightest students and we’re committed to providing you with the
support and resources necessary for you to succeed both inside and outside of
the classroom. I encourage you to become involved in campus life as a student at this university. Involved and engaged students will have a
richer collegiate experience comprising the best years of their lives. They
are also more likely to persist and succeed.
Within The Division of Student Affairs,
you’ll uncover your key to involvement on campus with our wide variety of
dynamic programs and services that will help you achieve your academic,
professional, and personal goals.
Bring your student experience to life by joining a club or organization–there
are more than 330. Celebrate Maverick traditions with some of our time-honored
events including Welcome Week, Oozeball, Bed Races, Heritage Months, The Big
Event, SpringFest and more. Join us at the events, activities, concerts, and
performances throughout the school year. Strengthen your leadership skills by
becoming a student leader on campus by running for an elected position within
Student Governance, becoming an orientation leader, working
on campus or by taking advantage of the programs, retreats and organizations provided
by The Leadership Center. Stay healthy and relieve stress with the fitness and
wellness activities at the MAC. Take advantage of our student-centered support
services including, disability services, relationship violence and sexual
