The Office of the Vice President for Student Affairs regularly hosts several signature UT Arlington events including Welcome Week or Maverick Stampede, the MavsMeet AfterParty and Spirit Days. The office also partners with the Athletics department to promote seasonal athletics games.

We also host around 150 events, activities and programs per semester throughout our 17 different departments. Please visit the event calendar for a list of all upcoming events.

Welcome Week/Maverick stampede

Late August – Early September

Begin your journey through Maverick country; or if you’ve been around for a while, meet some new faces and see what’s new in town with this lineup of exciting programming including campus traditions like Welcome Back Splash; Wings, Wieners and Water; the Activity Fair Day; MavsMeet Convocation; and more. MavsMeet AfterParty

Late August

Ring in the new school year with the MavsMeet Convocation and AfterParty. The convocation is your chance to meet and receive a warm welcome from the president, provost, vice president for student affairs and other key faculty and staff members. After the Convocation, come down to the Library Mall for the AfterParty, which will feature carnival style treats and games, a live band, lots of take-aways, friends, and fun! Athletic Promotions

The Division of Student Affairs is a proud partner of the Athletics department here at UT Arlington. We regularly sponsor athletic promotional events like tailgates, lunches with the athletic teams, chili cook-offs, white outs and blue outs and more!
