Classroom Locations - MAVS 1000 classes are held in 5 locations.  Classroom codes and descriptions are provided below.  There will be MAVS 1000 signs at each location to guide you the first week of class.  If your classroom is located in a residence hall, your MAV ID card will grant you access to the building 20 minutes prior to the class start time.  Your card will only work on the main entry doors of the residence hall. 

  • CP_118:  Vandergriff Hall Classroom located inside Vandergriff Hall in the College Park District.  Enter through the main entrance and the office staff will direct you to the classroom.
  • MAC_213:  Maverick Activities Center room 213.  Enter through the main entrance of the MAC and head upstairs.  Go through the glass doorway at the top of the stairs and continue directly past the gaming lounge to to find room 213.  It's the first classroom door on your right as you pass the gaming lounge.
  • UC_B170F:  E.H. Hereford University Center room B170F is located in the lower level of the University Center. The room is also called the "lower chambers".  Come down the stairs and go directly past the reception desk.  Continue straight through the doorway and the classroom entrance is immediately on your left.
  • KCHAM112:  KC Hall room 112 is located near the front entrance of the building.  Enter through the main lobby and turn right.  The classroom is the first door on your right.
  • ARHL_C300:  Arlington Hall room C300 is located on the third floor of the building.  Enter through the breezeway doors and immediately take the elevator up to the 3rd floor.  When you get off the elevator, the classroom is located right by the elevator, across from the hallway windows. 

Blackboard - All MAVS 1000 sections utilize Blackboard, a web-based learning management system.  Students will likely use Blackboard in most classes in addition to MAVS 1000.  Access Blackboard by going to  Blackboard is where you will enter assignments, review the course syllabus, and keep up with all things MAVS 1000!
