Future SA Pro

Discover Your Career in Student Affairs!

If you like helping people and having fun then you might enjoy a future career as a Student Affairs Professional (also known as SA Pro)!

If you are or were a member of FLOC, worked with EXCEL Campus Activities, Multicultural Affairs, Apartment & Residence Life, New Maverick Orientation, Student Congress or any department in the Division of Student Affairs you are already doing Student Affairs work. If this sounds like you, then apply now to join the UTA Future Student Affairs Professional Program.

Even if you haven’t worked directly with Student Affairs you can still apply for the program!

All applicants must be a currently enrolled UT Arlington undergraduate student seeking to learn more about what it means to be an SA Pro. This includes learning about how to land a job in Student Affairs or Higher Education (e.g., academic advising, Athletics, recruitment), and gaining tips for getting into graduate school.

As a participant, you will:

  • Gain useful skills for life beyond UTA
  • Support UTA Student Affairs Initiatives (e.g., NGIAs)
  • Potentially earn funding to attend conferences

Eligible students may also apply to be a member of the NASPA Undergraduate Fellowship Program (NUFP). NUFP is a nationally recognized mentorship program aimed at exposing undergraduate students to the field of Student Affairs and Higher Education Administration. The goal of NUFP is to increase the number of historically underrepresented professionals in Student Affairs. Underrepresentation in Student Affairs includes but is not limited to those of racial and ethnic minorities, those having a disability, and individuals identifying as LGBTQ.
