About Us

Student Governance supports the philosophy of maximizing student learning through active participation by students. In an additional sense, its activities support the concept of the community at UT Arlington by involving students in determining the community environment. The department dedicates itself to helping all students to get involved, from freshmen to graduate students. Student Governance is comprised of Student Government and the UTA Ambassadors. Through these programs, UT Arlington students have the opportunity to Make a Difference and Make Some Memories. For information, please call 817-272-0556.

Student Government is UT Arlington's elected representative body for students. Members work to implement change on campus, solicit concerns, and propose resolutions to solve problems. The group serves as the major link between students and the administration. The Student Government has three branches - Executive, Legislative, and Judicial.

The UTA Ambassadors are the official student hosts and hostesses of the University. They promote and maintain campus traditions, assisting with events such as Maverick Stampede, Homecoming, the Maverick Speakers Series, and Spirit Week.
