TAGSS Award
The GSS and the Office of Graduate Studies have established a Travel Award for conducting or presenting research, funded with the generous annual commitments from the Office of Graduate Studies, Offices of the President, Provost, and Vice President for Research. This award provides funds for active GSS members to help meet the travel costs associated with conducting research or presenting research at professional meetings.

Resolutions
Graduate Students Research Carrels
The GSS is working to have accessible study carrels available for rent at a nominal fee in the Central Library for the ongoing support of their academic research.

Graduate Student on UTSSAC
This resolution would insure that the Graduate Student body is represented on the University of Texas System Student Advisory Council by sending the GSS President to the UTSSAC annual meeting in alternate years.

Research and Study Lounge
The GSS is asking that UT Arlington graduate students be provided with a small study lounge in the Central Library for the ongoing support of their academic research.

Printing Supplement
This resolution calls for the allowance of funds from thesis and dissertation tuition to fund an additional quota of 1,000 pages or $100 of free printing per each semester that students are enrolled in at least 6 thesis, thesis equivalent, capstone, or dissertation hours and a charge of $.05 for the next 500 pages after the additional quota.

Early Registration
This resolution would insure that Graduate Students who are required to enroll in undergraduate classes are able to register early to avoid classes that may close prior to open registration dates.

Oppose Plus/Minus Grading
The GSS opposed a proposal to switch the university to a Plus/Minus grading system that would place UT Arlington graduate students on a different grading scale from those of most other universities in Texas.
