
The purpose of the Office of Student Governance and Organizations is to support the philosophy of maximizing student learning through active participation by students. In an additional sense, its activities support the concept of the University community by involving students in determining the community environment.

which provide programs, publications, and address policy issues. Consisting of elected representatives from UTA's nine schools and colleges, SC seeks
to incorporate students into the University's governing process. Helping Other Students To Succeed is a peer mentoring program matching
new students by major with returning students in their school or college. Freshman Leadership Interest Group. This organization develops leadership skills and networking while coordinating events
aimed at building community involvement among freshmen. This is the student governing body that deals
with issues germane to graduate students. Over 250 exist, something for everyone!
