UTA-HOSTS!
UTA-HOSTS! (Helping Other Students to Succeed) is a student mentoring program sponsored by the Office of Student Governance & Organizations. New students, or mentees, are matched with returning students, or mentors, by major, school or college. Participation in the program is free and all positions are voluntary.
The program is designed to last two semesters. Communication between the mentor and mentee is key to a successful relationship.
The program began in 1993 as a result of a recommendation from the Student Service Fee Advisory Committee. The program is active in all schools and colleges on campus.
Getting involved is easy. Just fill out the appropriate application, located online or in our office in the lower level of the University Center, and turn it in. We will match you as soon as possible.
