Remarks: There's no way to efficiently and continously maintain an online book website by any UTA affiliation. Other Schools (UTSA) seems to have also run into this problem.
Whereas: One of the primary financial losses of UTA students is through the cost of text books; and
Whereas: The bookstore gives students less than half of the original price that the student paid to purchase the book; and
Whereas: The campus currently has an unorganized way of students posting flyers of their books for sale. This creates a messy environment for the campus exterior; and
Whereas: Students buying books have a possibility of buying their books cheaper than the bookstore price and students selling their books may be more satisfied with the price of selling theri own textbooks.
Be It Therefore Resolved That: UTA create an online book exchange that can be added onto the existing UTA website. Students wanting to sell books can post text book information including a phone number or someway in which they can meet to compleete the transaction. The online source will basically function as a classified section.
