Remarks: FAILED. A system similar to that requested by this resolution is already in place. The library has a port station for laptops to print to.
Whereas: UT Arlington does not offer any form of wireless printing for students who use their personal laptops; and
Whereas: It is time consuming and sometimes not an option to wait for an open computer in the Central Library or Ransom Hall between classes and during high traffic times; and
Whereas: Many other universities provide wireless printing options for their students such as: University of Texas at Austin, University of Texas at San Antonio, University of Texas Dallas, University of Houston, Texas A&M University, and Rice University just to name a few.
Be It Therefore Resolved That: UT Arlington provide wireless printing in both the Central Library and Ransom Hall.
Be It Further Resolved That: UT Arlington also put into motion plans to incorporate wireless printing in all campus libraries including the electronic libraries.
