Remarks:

The Math Department does not have enough funds or staff at this time to purchase more math software or keep the clinic open for additional hours.

Whereas:

The University already has a computer lab located on the third floor of Pickard Hall; and

Whereas:

Students enrolled in upper-level math courses need to use Mathematica and SAS statistical software package; and

Whereas:

Students enrolled in the lower-level math classes need to log onto computers to complete homework assignments; and

Whereas:

The computer lab does not have many available hours to the students; and

Whereas:

The math clinic has no computers available to students.

Be It Therefore Resolved That:

The Math department open more available hours for the computer lab or place a few computers in the Math Clinic.

Be It Further Resolved That:

Those available computers have the Mathematica and the SAS software already installed into the computers with internet access.
